Sandy’s medical mission trips remind her of why she got into the medical profession.
The missions are about more than simply medicine. They’re about identifying
community issues that affect a patient’s health. They’re about healing the whole
person. Nursing is the exact embodiment of this philosophy. Each trip brings to her a
new sense of humility and perspective and she always looks forward to her next trip.
