Dr. Layth Al-Jashaami received his Medical Doctorate from The University of Anbar College of Medicine in Iraq.

He completed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Valleywise Health Medical Center/Creighton University (formerly Maricopa Medical Center) in Phoenix, Arizona. He completed his Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Arizona in Phoenix. Dr. Al-Jashaami is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is also certified with the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates.

Dr. Al-Jashaami was the Interim Medical Director of the Outpatient Observation Unit at Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix. He was the Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Arizona, College of Medicine. In addition to his awards for Outstanding and Teaching Resident of the year, Dr. Al-Jashaami participated in many conferences, presentations and published work on the topics of Gastroenterology, Clostridiodes difficile, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, among others.

Dr. Al-Jashaami is a patient advocate. He strives to listen and help his patients navigate through their care needs to improve outcomes. “Every patient is important to me. I treat them like they are my family. I embrace the challenge to investigate the condition to discover a diagnosis and create a care plan that will help patients and their families.”

In his free time, Dr. Al-Jashaami takes a big interest in traveling because it exposes him to various cultures and different types of food. He enjoys touring different restaurants, jogging in the mornings, and hiking occasionally.
